BODY-SOLID POWER RACK | GPR400
The Power Rack is also known as a Power Cage, Squat Cage or Squat Rack.
Not to be confused with a half cage or half rack. It is a four-pillar rectangular box that functions as a substitute to a human spotter for free weight barbell exercises, seated, standing or lying down that include: Bench Press, Squats, Overhead Press, Rack Lockout, Rack Pull, Barbell Shrug, Inverted row, Barbell Bent over Row, Barbell curls. Beside the four pillars that come predrilled or punched with adjustment holes, the rack will generally include a pair of barbell lift-offs and a pair of safeties. The Body-Solid Power Rack | GPR400 lift offs are placed at a height appropriate for the exercise with the safeties placed in a predetermined position to let the user escape the weights and bar should they fatigue or fail to complete the movement of the exercise. Most modern power racks come equipped with a chinning/pull-up bar.
Some power cages squat racks and squat stands are capable of being anchored to the floor for extra stability. Many of these are found in multi-use commercial facilities and are mounted per manufacturer specification, usually by a professional installer. Floor mounting can be done at home in your basement or in your garage gym. Bolting a power rack or power cage to the floor gives the user an extra boost of confidence especially while using very heavy weight during standing over head lifts or squats. It also allows user a stable platform for suspension trainers that are commonly used in functional training activities. Though most racks are not anchored to the ground, users can add plate horns and store weights low on the frame to add extra stability and support.
Many modern Power Racks can be expanded with attachments like a lat station with high low pulley, weight storage pegs, plyo platforms, strength band pegs, t-bar row, landmine attachments, dip attachments, bar holder, etc. to create your personal garage gym, workout room or box to do the work out of the day, cross train or do functional workouts or just straight up power lift.

"Very Heavy duty and fits in my basement, solid and stable, had my share of cheap exercise equipment, this is gym quality , good j hook hole spacing"

"This is a great squat rack! I was looking for a cage that was not too tall as my ceilings are very low, this one fit the bill just perfectly. You will definitely needed two people to set up, my friend came to help me and glad he did. Once put together, I was glad to see I could still slide it out of the way by myself to open the cabinet doors behind, as it's the best location for my space. Super happy with this purchase! Also SERIOUS STEEL was just Super Professional to purchase from - just amazing communication."

"I got this rack 5 days ago and put it together the same day I received it. I didn’t it by myself and it was quite a pain because you have to hold multiple pieces at the same time and they are above the head level so if you can get a helper, please do. I figure the assembly process is painful with all of these so I definitely can’t downgrade it for it however. Overall it’s a very solid and stable (despite being on carpet) piece of equipment that didn’t need to be bolted down and to be honest, it would be unnecessary considering how stable it is right now. The built is high quality and I know Body Solid has attachments for it which I’ll definitely be buying as soon as this COVID-19 stuff settles down. Also, the seller is pretty amazing as they kept in touch with me throughout the process and when I made an inquiry with them, I heard back in less than 2 hrs"

"I have been working out religiously 3 to 4 days a week for decades, primarily with my home gym. The challenge is that I've got it set up in a garage with a very low (85" high) ceiling that severely limits my equipment options. I used a half squat rack most of that time, but always wanted a full power cage. After considering a variety of ways of solving that problem, including paying insane money for a custom designed rack, I was thrilled to discover a commercial quality power rack (it's got a commercial warranty as well as a lifetime in-home warranty) that actually fits in my space (see pic attached). This beauty is 53" x 52", which is relatively standard, but only 79" high which is unique and awesome for my needs. It's got capacity for 1,000 pounds and a wide variety of attachments such as dip handles, U-links (for TRX, cables, or battle ropes), weight horns, T-bar row, Lat pulldown, and a multi-grip chin bar (which is both my favorite and actually usable with my low, 85" ceiling). I bought two extra J-cups so that I don't have to move them around as much between squats and bench. It took about 1 1/2 hours to set up (which would have been massively easier with two people), and was facilitated by a 15/16-inch deep socket ratchet. I strongly recommend that approach as it would have taken at least an hour longer to tighten all the bolts correctly with just a regular wrench. I also recommend making everything "finger tight," assuring it's level and balanced, and then ratcheting it down tight. Once set up and tightened down it works perfectly and has proven both robust and resilient. I'm so glad I got it! They make a nice bench too, if you're in the market for a set... I went with the SFID325B, which is also commercial grade (same warranty as the rack) and matches the black finish of the power rack nicely. Very, very highly recommended for anyone stuck with a low ceiling who's looking a solid, commercial quality power rack!"
