How smooth is this machine? Is it similar to something you would find in a commercial gym?
I really love the machine, I will say it does stick when the weightload is lighter, but I think that may be an issue with how it was assembled on my end. It’s very sturdy and I use mine all of the time. I would say it’s comparable to a machine found in commercial gyms.

Range of motion during pulldowns. i am 5'11 and am wondering if i could get a stretch during pulldowns with and wide grip and a narrow grip?
I am 6′ 1-1/2″ and I always get a good stretch with a wide grip. I can get a good stretch with a narrow grip but I need to have my legs far forward under the hold-down rollers to keep my butt from coming off the seat.

Are you able to get good leverage for rows with the leg position on this machine?
Hi there, to answer your question, yes I find that I get plenty of leverage for while performing low cable rows on this machine. I’m very happy with the machine overall, it’s both sturdy and smooth.

Is this lat machine sturdy enough to survive in a light commercial atmosphere?
The unit is sturdy enough for light commercial use in my opinion. I have my unit for 4 years. The chrome on the weight guide rods has started delaminating but has not affected the units function.
