Core Health & Fitness Unveils GymKit Compatible Fitness Equipment

San Diego, March 22, 2018 – Today at the 37th Annual IHRSA International Convention & Trade Show, Core Health & Fitness unveiled new OpenHub cardio consoles that include the ability to connect with Apple Watch via Apple’s recently-launched GymKit platform. This revolutionary advance in fitness data tracking allows Apple Watch users to enhance their workout experience and wirelessly track their workout data with a simple tap to pair with compatible fitness equipment displays.
“The vision behind our OpenHub displays is to provide a completely open platform that allows us to work with expert partners to provide fitness solutions for the most users possible,” explained Travis Vaughan, Director of Cardio Products and Technology for Core Health & Fitness. “Adding the capability to connect with Apple Watch is the extension of this vision, as it will provide an incredible, integrated fitness tracking solution to a massive global user base.”
Core Health & Fitness is proud to be one of the launch partners for the Apple GymKit program. The connectivity will initially launch on the LCD version of OpenHub series cardio consoles for Star Trac and StairMaster. Later this year, the same experience will be available on both touchscreen display platforms, as well as on Schwinn cycling computers.
