E&I and Core Health and Fitness Launch New Competitively Solicited Contract
New agreement offers discounted fitness equipment to E&I member institutions
Vancouver, WA, March 29, 2019 – E&I Cooperative Services (E&I) and Core Health and Fitness (Core) have launched a new, competitively solicited contract for fitness equipment. In addition to Core’s portfolio of leading brands, education and fitness equipment, E&I members also receive discounted list pricing that includes delivery, installation, and industry leading 5-year parts and labor warranty. Members will also receive product demo opportunities and guaranteed customer service response.
Core is the world’s largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of commercial fitness products, which are marketed under four brands: StairMaster, Nautilus, Schwinn, and Star Trac. The company currently has over 400 employees with sales, engineering, and service offices located across the U.S., providing the ability to best serve E&I’s nationwide membership. Core also offers fitness education programs designed for students and staff members.
“The value Core offers our members extends well beyond well-recognized and trusted brands; it’s also delivering the services and support that our members find most valuable,” said Tom Fitzgerald, CEO of E&I. “We are excited to add Core to our portfolio and are confident our members will receive nothing but the best products and services to meet their institution’s fitness needs.”
Tim Hawkins, Global Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Core said, “Student health and wellness is one of the country’s significant challenges. All of us in the Core family, including our employees and distributors, are honored to have this opportunity to partner with the broader education community to make health and fitness a part of student’s lives.”
The contract award was the result of a competitive solicitation based on E&I RFP #683393.
