Hello does anybody know what tools are needed to dis-assemble and move it
I wouldn’t recommend disassembling. An authorized installer put ours together. We had our last one moved by the movers and in its assembled state. Hope this helps.

Can you adjust the incline on this elliptical?
There is no incline on this unit only resistance. It is the best built, smoothest, and ultra quiet unit that I have ever owned. I’m glad I spent the extra money for a Life Fitness elliptical.

How much clearance do you need with the ceiling?
I have the machine in my basement with low 7 ft ceiling. I would say if I was 6 feet tall it would be close to hitting my head when I used the machine.

The weight is undisclosed. While no information is disclosed on the weight of the flywheel, the E1 has a weight capacity of up to 400 pounds which points to a durable, reliable drive system.

Does the lifefitness e1 eliptical have a flywheel?
All the Life Fitness ellipticals have flywheels. The weight of the flywheel is not as crucial in a machine like this as the smooth operation is attributed to the better quality bearings and doesn’t rely on a heavy flywheel to generate inertia like a spin cycle does.
There are magnets around the flywheel to change resistance levels. It keeps these machines running quiet and smooth.

Does it have an electrical plug in . if so., where is it?
Yes, the E1 is not a self generating unit so it requires external power. The cord plugs into the center of the back shroud and is about 10′ long.

"Hands down, best elliptical I've ever used. I love the chest heart rate monitor it comes with, great range of motion, lots of different options. Only con is that because this thing is built like a tank, it weighs a crazy amount (250 pounds), which was almost impossible for me to get upstairs. Also didn't help that the box was 7 feet long. Plan to tip the guys dropping it off. It's worth it.

"So I recently purchased this Life Fitness E1 elliptical with the Go console. I had major back surgery 13 years ago, and can no longer do impact type cardio work. I have used Life Fitness ellipticals in various gyms for 10 years or so, and they are the gold standard. Nothing else compares to the smooth stride of their gym machines, IMO. But I was apprehensive about purchasing this (Home) model, as I didn’t expect it to be as heavy duty or sturdy as the gym models are. Also, reviews on various sites regarding the E1 are mixed. There are some negative reviews on Life Fitness customer service as well. This caused me to research all I could about the product and company. After going back and forth for a few weeks, I finally decided to make the purchase. And I’m glad I did. First- I am really glad I paid for the setup. This unit weighs 211 LBs, and it would have taken me much longer to figure things out and assemble it alone. There were little nuances and tricks the techs knew from assembling this model previously, that made the job much faster and easier than I could have completed it. THE MACHINE: The E1 is much sturdier than I anticipated, and is a sleek looking piece of equipment. It looks good in the recreation room of my home. The unit is very quiet, and the 20” stride is perfect for my 5’10” frame. The motion is almost as smooth as the LF gym models I’ve used. I wanted something close to gym quality, and I was willing to pay for it. *(I did not consider the other two home LF elliptical options- the E3 or the E5). These models were substantially higher in price, and had features that I honestly wasn’t interested in, such as an adjustable stride on the E5, and more instrumentation on the handles of both the E3 and E5. It seems to me these models would potentially have more problems down the road than the E1, due to all the advanced electronic features, especially the adjustable stride feature on the E5. Just my opinion. Finally, the basic Go Console is perfect for me, as I don’t utilize online apps during my workouts. The 13 different programmed workouts and basic (bio-data) features are plenty enough for me. I wasn’t interested in the more expensive interactive Track Connect Console that has the capability to connect your phone devices with interactive workout apps. BOTTOM LINE: The Life Fitness E1 Elliptical Cross-Trainer is everything I hoped it would be. It is really a great unit! The question now will be longevity, and how well this elliptical holds up over time with regular use. I also have some concerns regarding my product support as well, but I will cross both of those bridges when I come to them. Hopefully, it’ll be a long time before I have to address either issue."
