About

The WaterRower Oak rowing machine is handcrafted in solid oak wood finished in Danish oil. It features the S4 Performance Monitor.

The WaterRower Oak rowing machine is handcrafted in solid oak wood, stained Honey Oak, and finished with Danish oil. Wood is an excellent material for this application due to its ability to absorb sound and vibration enhancing the WaterRower’s smooth, quiet operation. The Oak, as with all WaterRowers, features patented WaterFlywheel technology, unrivaled in its replication of the resistance felt in on the water rowing.

IMPRESSIVE CONSOLE OPTIONS

WaterRower Xeno Muller Signature Rowing MachineFrom QuickStart & QuickSelect, to AutoStore features that make it possible to record and revisit up to 9 unique or user created workouts, the console is far more than it seems on this conservative looking model. Sure, all the more common programs are included and with the push of a button users are off and racing. There are distance features, duration of course, as well as interval options for that extra metabolic kick.

Now, to top everything off the Cherrywood frame is completely covered for the first five years of use, which is utterly fantastic for both private and commercial gym owners. Parts come with 3 years of coverage, but keep in mind that there are also optional extended warranties available!

ABOUT WaterRower

As they enter their 30th year in the industry, WaterRower continues to combine stylish design, handcrafted workmanship, their unique WaterFlywheel resistance and ethically sourced materials to create the world’s finest rowing simulator.

An American Fitness Brand, their vast assortment of rowing machines, of which all are manufactured in the quintessential coastal New England town of Warren, Rhode Island, can be found within expansive health clubs, luxury hotels and boutique fitness studios throughout the world.

WaterRower’s wooden models are handcrafted from a selection of the world’s finest sustainable hardwoods. WaterRower has over 250 staff in 15 global offices while manufacturing all their products in the USA.

Their Verified Sustainable Hardwoods are sourced from the Appalachian Mountain region of the eastern United States, where planting rates exceed harvest rates by an average multiple of 2.29. The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Inventory and Analysis research has found that annual timber harvest levels in the 344-county Appalachian Hardwood Region have been substantially less than net annual growth for more than 50 years. Appalachian Hardwood Manufacturers, Inc. (AHMI) has verified data from the U.S. Forest Service that timber harvesting from the Appalachian Hardwood Territory as defined by AHMI is able to meet present needs without compromising those of future generations sustainably. The Appalachian Hardwood Timber resource includes more than 65.4 million acres in the eastern United States and provides the world with a bounty of the finest hardwood species. AHMI is an association of lumber producers and suppliers who manufacture and distribute the lumber and products from this region.

Infinitely Variable Resistance: The benefit of a water resistance rower is that it most closely simulates a boat moving through water. When rowing the resistance is due to the effect of fluid drag acting on the boat. Go faster, resistance increases. Go slower resistance decreases. Importantly, the user chooses; regardless of age, gender, size or fitness. The patented WaterFlywheel emulates this naturally self-paced benefit of rowing. This is a workout you can start benefitting from immediately, regardless of experience!
Silent Flywheel: Because the patented WaterFlywheel replicates the same physical dynamics as rowing, its operation is just as silent. When the handle is pulled, only the soothing sound of rushing water is heard. The frame also assists in dampening noise and vibration, making this one of the smoothest machines on the market.
Balanced Tear-drop Handle: The handle is made of aluminum for strength and lightness, with a tear-drop shape that fits comfortably into the palm of the hand to minimize wrist torque - a common cause of tendonitis. Because of its strength and lightness, the drive strap in Cherrywood (S4) is high-density polyester webbing, guided by nylon pulleys. The drive strap does not wear and is maintenance-free, requiring no messy lubrication.
Ergonomically Contoured Seat: Supported on all four corners and ergonomically designed to provide maximum comfort, the seat is incredibly stable, gliding smoothly on eight urethane wheels.
Floating Heel-Rest Design: The Rowing Machine's footboard incorporates the all-new Floating Heel-Rest design. The cup of the heel-rest follows the heel as it rises from the footboard providing stability and comfort from the beginning to end of each stroke. The heel-rest position is adjusted simply by pressing the central button to disengage the lock pins securing the footpads.
Tank: The tank is made from polycarbonate, one of the strongest plastics available. It is virtually indestructible. The tank is sealed and can be filled with municipal water via a small opening closed by a stopper. This water typically contains enough chlorine to remain clear for some time. After exposure to light, the chlorine will degrade and the chlorine tablets included free, should be added periodically.
Dual Rails: Dual rails are featured on all WaterRowers. While attractive, they are designed to absorb sound and vibration, making for a smooth and silent stroke. These rails are part of a frame that can support over 2,200lbs of weight!
Spragg Clutch: The key to the WaterRower Oxbridge in Cherrywood (S4)'s smooth stroke is its "spragg" clutch that engages instantaneously. Unlike other clutches that produce a jerky or jarring impact somewhere during the stroke, the spragg clutch has no lag in pickup, which means no lower back pain for you.
