The WaterRower S1 Stainless Steel Rowing Machine is special project originating in WaterRower’s Munich design facility. Crafted in brushed stainless steel with a unique rail design, this is a limited-production rower selling fast! Functionally identical to all wooden models, the S1 in Brushed Stainless Steel (S4) features a classy, if minimalist, European designer’s touch that is sure to turn heads.

Using the same principles that govern the dynamics of a boat in water, the WaterRower Rowing Machine provides an unlimited range of resistance making it suitable for a variety of strength and skill levels. In a boat, the faster you move, the greater the drag and the greater the intensity of exercise required to maintain your speed. The limit to the speed you can maintain is you, your physiology, not the rower.

For maximum realism and comfort, the WaterRower precision spragg clutch engages the instant the handle is pulled, so there is no jerkiness or jarring at the beginning of the stroke. Muscle Usage

The rowing stroke uses a vast combination of muscles. All the muscles, from the tips of the fingers holding the handle/oars, to the balls of the feet connected to the footboard/boat, all the muscles between these two points contribute to the rowing stroke By maximizing the muscle mass contributing to the exercise in this way, the WaterRower is unrivalled in benefit derived per unit of time. Other common aerobic exercise equipment like treadmills, cycles, ellipticals and even other rowing machines, use far less muscle mass, burn fewer calories and generating less exercise benefit.

Maximize Gain/Minimize Time

Many exercise machines claim to be King when it comes to calorie consumption rates.
